How to light a bathroom mirror
The best mirror lighting comes from the sides or just above the mirror, at about face height, because a single downlight overhead casts shadows under your eyes and chin. For a light above the mirror, choose a bar roughly two-thirds to the full width of the mirror, or use a matching light each side.
Bathrooms are wet areas, so check the IP rating and ask your electrician where each light can legally go. Warm white, about 3000K, is flattering, and natural white, about 4000K, is better for make-up and shaving. Many of our vanity bars come in several lengths and finishes, so you can match your tapware.
